Why am I focusing on breeding my own hemp strains?
In 2011, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. This forced me to focus on lifestyle changes significantly.
Our first effort was diet change through isolation food testing to determine which foods were safe for me to eat. I experienced extreme health improvements after the testing and removing foods from my diet that caused problems. Over the years, I've added more foods to the list that are not safe. Fortunately this list has not changed. A small sample of unsafe foods include, garlic, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and peanuts. We started getting our foods from local farmers markets and soon realized we can grow this too...
My second effort was trying holistic options like CBD and CBG. I found that both would help especially the flowers, full spectrum tinctures or vape cartridges, but not all strains were helpful. I started ordering samples of CBD and CBG products from specific farms until I found a couple strains that really helped. Suver Haze, yup this is not a misspelling, it is Suver Haze, provides very helpful and therapeutic relief of my symptoms, the best that seemed to work for me so far. CBG was a bit harder to source and test. Finally I came across Circles F2 CBG. This Circles strain grew well and provided therapeutic relief of abdominal inflammation.
I came to the realization that I could possibly make a strain that suits me best by making my own crosses and testing them out with strains I know make me feel better. I've already hunted through so many strains and selected the handful that have helped. I feel that producing seeds in the same growing space provides other benefits to the future generations through environmental adaptation.
I also felt that my work should be available to those that may need therapeutic help with similar symptoms and even other ailments. This is why I list all my past, present, and future crosses on this website.
