CBG "Bottoms" breeding lines and focus explanation.
Initially this line was an accident. I did not plan to breed Circles F2 CBG. I was more focused on a hemp flower crop for processing at the end of the season. I had been hunting for good quality CBG genetics and finally settled on this strain due to the flower providing therapeutic value for my Crohn's symptoms.
I thought I had sexed all the plants outside early and was sure everything was female. Being inexperienced and learning on the go, I missed one Circles F2 CBG male and boy what a male he was. Within 48 hours from last check he grew multiple nodes of pollen sacks and released the pollen onto the bumblebees throughout the garden. I have a picture of him and you can see what a strong male it was and the structure it had.
Outside females included Circles F2 CBG and Snowbern CBG grown from seed, I had previously test grew these indoor having great results. I wanted to eliminate possible variations in the grow by having stable genetics outside. I also wanted to see if there were any other phenotype traits I had not seen indoors that the sun and rain water might bring to light.
These were prepped and started indoors before migrating them to outdoor to test their potential in our farm field. They survived some harsh storms and extreme heat that summer. As you can see what the mothers of the seeds look like on the right. The closer plant is Snowbern CBG and the plant further away behind is Circles F2 CBG. These strains grew very well, tolerated the environment and my inexperience and provided a ridiculous amount of seeds.
These pairings created hopeful hemp compliant strains, Circles F3 CBG and Snowy Bottoms.
Two THC strains were also pollinated in this field. I had run and selected a specific phenotype of two strains, These were selected due to the impressive growing experience indoor and I was testing outdoor viability for this summer run. I ended up getting some very special genetics. Raspberry Parfait by Humboldt Seed Company and Raspberry Sunset by Badger's Batch.
Raspberry Parfait smelled just like vanilla yogurt that had fermented a bit. Provided lots of frostiness, solid colas and a sturdy stalk. More of a daytime smoke with such a great aroma. So she was a strong candidate for a hybrid cross. This created Vanilla Bottoms.
Raspberry Sunset had a more woodsy with earth tones aromas while having small therapeutic notes. I chose this one as it grew very well indoors providing quality smoke that I could easily go back to or mix with another strain for more therapy. Before bedtime provided best results. Sleepy body and head buzz if you are looking to relax and take a nap or have been restless and can't sleep. This created Sunset Bottoms.
