The "Boobies" Line: The Sweet Tea Hunt
A long time ago I came across a plant that provided the most unique Raspberry Sweet Tea aroma and flavor. It also had a wonderful creeper aspect to the affects. I ended up losing this amazing plant, but not before it left an impression on me. I realized what I had lost and decided to try and find this plant again through breeders and growers recommendations. Additionally, I hunted for others who may have this and was provided many seed options to try to find this elusive flower again.
I was able to locate many of the recommended strains that may have this aroma and flavor. I grew them all in hopes of finding the one. This Sweet Tea strain from Subcool was recommended by many growers familiar with the work and breeder. I was able to obtain some of the last available seeds made by Norstar Genetics for Subcool. Of those 30 seeds, I selected the best female and male. The female provided the most unique spiced tea smells and aromas with a hint of mint and dried leaves. This was the closest I had come to finding a sweet tea aroma.
I decided to take the male and cross him to multiple strains that I already know make me feel better with therapeutic properties. Additionally, I decided to preserve the genetic by making F2s of Sweet Tea, Sweet Boobies. While I have not found the exact Raspberry Sweet Tea aroma and flavor yet, my hope is I find it in the progeny of out crosses and in-crosses. This Sweet Tea strain has come the closest to what I had grown in the past. I will continue to hunt for this amazing phenotype and hopefully integrate it with many of the crosses I make in the future.
